As the temperatures rises, few of us want to spend hours under the hairdryer, or time trying to tame our errant locks.
You want a look and style that is quick and easy to manage, and doesn't make you late for that barbecue or cocktails by the pool on that Mediterranean week away.
So Look turned to Barbara Daley, from Barbara Daley Hair and Beauty, for some expert tips and advice.
Says Barbara, "Whatever you do, don't leave it until you arrive to start thinking about your vacation hairstyle. A little bit of preparation can make all the difference.
"Ideally, find a hairstyle that you can wash and leave and that doesn't require you to sit for hours under a hot hairdryer to achieve." An ideal style would be one that you can create using a light mousse for hold, and then style using a light gel or some wax.
Barbara adds: "For longer hair, a tousled gypsy style using a gel can produce loose ringlets that, as they dry, will first hold and then become a very loose wave. For shorter styles a cut with texture, rough dried and then styled with gel or light wax is perfect."
But it's not just how you style your hair that can make the difference throughout the summer months. Hair always looks better if it's in good condition, and that isn't always easy in the drying heat.
