What is Diabetes Insipidus?
There are two forms of diabetes insipidus (DI):
- Central diabetes insipidus (Central DI)-caused by inadequate antidiuretic hormone (ADH)
- Nephrogenic diabetes insipidus (NDI)-due to renal cells in the kidneys not responding to ADH
