Symptoms may include:

  • Fatigue
  • Slowly progressive muscle weakness
  • Muscular atrophy
  • Muscle spasms
  • Joint pain
  • Muscle pain
  • Difficulty swallowing, breathing, or sleeping
  • Intolerance to heat or cold
  • Speech problems
  • Skeletal deformities (eg, Scoliosis )
