Questions About Fibromyalgia
why cant fibromyalgia be prevented?
Fibromyalgia cannot be prevented, only chances of getting it can be reduced. why is that?
Because it is an autoimmune disease; the body is attacking itself.
Because nobody has ever proven it to be a real disease in the first place. There are no lab tests or scans of any kind that can detect it. It tends to respond to exercise if those claiming to have it can be pried up off the sofa. Behind their backs, their doctors likely refer to it as "fatsomyalgia." Basically, anyone who becomes completely sedentary will become sore, tired, and develop numerous painful spots all over their body. Hence, fibromyalgia.
IT IS NOT BELIEVED TO BE AUTOIMMUNE
it can't be prevented because they don't really know about the cause---they only have a general idea that it is something to do with neurotransmitters
fyi FMS is highly over diagnosed--most people actually have something else..
i was very active most of my life....but had fms symptoms when I was 5---we were outside running around a lot...I got a job that necessitated being active....at one point I was actually underweight...
so i just debunked the theory of laziness
