How does leukemia kill you?
Answers
Leukemia is a blood cancer. In leukemia the bone marrow and lymph system goes haywire producing white blood cells. The production of healthy red blood cells is severely hampered. The red cells help to move oxygen-rich blood through the body. The bad blood cells leave the person wide open to dying from an infection, some as minor as a common cold.
