Could my period just "stop" if I am starting menopause?
My last period lasted about three days longer than usual. This month it is about six days late. I used to be able to plan a vacation six months ahead of time because I was so regular. About seven or eight months ago it stopped being so predicable. I am 47 years old. I do smoke (I know I should quit). I asked my mother about hers but she said she really can't remember. I also asked my only blood aunt, she said hers just stopped. She also told me my cousin is going through menopause. She is a year younger and quit smoking years ago. Thank you.

Yes, menopause means the end of your periods. I hope that answers your question!
