Thyroid nodule that measures 7mm?I recently had to have a CT scan and my doctors just happened to come across a nodule that I have on the right portion of my thyroid gland. I had an ultrasound today and it measure 7mm. I have had no symptoms and didn't even realize I had one. I had thyroid lab tests done and that all came back normal and I am supposed to get called about the ultrasound results tomorrow. I can't help but become nervous, do I have a reason to worry? What are the odds that it's cancer? I am worried because I am a new mom and I am 26 years old and trying to tell myself that it's fine but wanted to know if anyone else has had this and what the outcome was. I do have rheumatoid arthritis and have had it my whole life so I am wondering if this could simply be a rheumatoid nodule. What will the ultrasound really show my doctor and if it was something major would my blood tests come back a little off? Thanks in advance..
