  • Undergo testing if your doctor suspects you are infected with the bacterium Helicobacter pylori.
  • Have your doctor monitor your health closely if you are taking the following drugs:

    • Calcium-chelating drugs taken by mouth
    • Colchicine
    • Neomycin
    • Cimetidine
    • Cholestyramine
