How long are baby measles contagious?

Typically, symptoms of measles do not appear until ten to twelve days after exposure. Measles in both children and adults is contagious for the four days before the telltale skin rash appears and remains contagious through the four days after it appears.
You can be confident that your baby is no longer contagious about a week after the rash has passed.
