Want to cut your disease risks and up your chances of living long and well? There's an app for that. Researchers at the Washington University School of Medicine have developed "Zuum," a free iPad application that lets you design a customized plan for making those all-important lifestyle changes that can help you stay healthy,
A release from the university quotes lead researcher Graham Colditz, MD, PhD, as saying, “We’ve taken three decades of research and turned it into Zuum, a free app that provides personalized health advice at your fingertips.” Zuum quickly estimates your risk of heart disease, diabetes, and stroke as well as several cancers including lung, colon, breast and prostate. The app then gives you tailor-made tips for preventing these illnesses and boosting overall health.
