Skin: Changes to Expect in Your 50s

Did you know that certain anti-aging skin care products help make damaged skin cells vanish? Read on for more...

After age 50, as the production of collagen within it slows, skin becomes less taut and elastic.

Some men, and especially women, find that their skin may change in texture and relative moisture. Some women find that their skin is drier and thinner after they've reached menopause. The degree of dryness and wrinkles in 50s skin is influenced by lifestyle factors such as sun exposure, smoking, water intake, as well as reduced estrogen levels. (Translation: if you tanned and partied throughout the previous decades, your skin may look more wrinkled and older than the skin of someone who never succumbed to festivities of yesteryear.)
