Longer Interval Between Erections
Why It's Happening:
The "refractory period" following an orgasm, during which the penis is unresponsive to stimulation, varies with age. According to urologist Mark Austenfeld, M.D., of Kansas City, Kansas, there are lots of midlife men out there "who need to know that it's perfectly okay to not have an erection after an orgasm and perform again and again." In other words, experiencing a longer interval in between orgasms is a normal state of affairs for midlife men.
