A healthy Philly cheesesteak -- no, it's not a food paradox.
Good Morning America teamed up with Mens Health magazine to remake classic sandwiches by adding healthier ingredients. The fat content of this Philly cheesesteak was reduced by over two-thirds.
First, saute the onions and bell peppers until tender. Fill the multi-grain buns with roast beef, sauteed vegetables and cheese, and then warm in the microwave until the cheese melts.
Ingredients
- Roast Beef
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 1 small red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 small green bell pepper, sliced
- 2/3 cup salsa (medium or hot)
- 4 multi-grain hoagie buns
- 1/2 cup reduced-fat cheddar cheese (shredded)
