Converting Beta tapes to DVD?
Does anyone know the best way to convert old beta home movies to cd's I
have many home movies from the early 80"s that are in good shape but
the beta recorder is shot! Its really hard to find a betamax these
days. Just wondering if walmart or a dept. store converts these old
tapes. Thanks for any imput.

Who wants to mess around with dvds? You should store this on a hard-drive so you can edit and remix!

Keep asking locally and check phone directories under Video? as many cities will have someone or a company who can transfer. We have one here we have hired to change old super 8 and camcorder VHS tapes to DVD's, and I know they will do the same with other formats like reel to reel and probably Beta.
