Can one be religious and still believe in the concepts of astrology?

Absolutely. Literally millions of religious people around the world follow astrology without any contradictions to their faith. In fact, you don't have to 'believe' in astrology to find it useful. It might help to know that astrology is simply the study of natural cycles in the universe.

So astrology doesn't 'tell' you what you should believe about God or a particular religion. Nor is it really a 'fortune-telling' technique, although some skeptics who don't know very much about it think it is. Astrology simply notes that in much the same way that the seasons and the orbits of the planets around the sun follow predictable patterns, so do human affairs and emotions. Periods of expansion are followed by periods of contraction; periods of sorrow eventually give way to periods of joy and so on.

So really, a religious person can 'believe' in astrology in just the same way that a religious person can believe that the spring always follows winter!
