A group of elderly men meet every week for a coffee and a chat. They sit for hours discussing the world situation. Usually, their discussion is very negative.
One day, one of them surprises his friends by announcing, loudly and clearly, "You know what? I've now become an optimist."
All the others stop talking and look at the fellow in astonishment.
Then one says, "Hold on a minute. If you're an optimist, why are you looking so worried?"
Says the center of attention, "Do you think it's easy being an optimist?"
