Missed List

A college student calls home one day at the end of the spring exam period. "Hey, Dad," he says, "I've got some great news for you!"

"What, son?"

"Remember that $500 you promised me if I made the dean's list?" the boy asks.

"I certainly do," the father says expectantly.

"Well," says his son, "you get to keep it!"
