I had diarrhea while sleeping last night - what can cause this?
White male, 36, no diseases, no medications, OTC or drug use. Obese (6'4", 350 lbs) but active (walk over 2 miles every day and lift weights 3x per week). No previous issues with incontinence. The day before yesterday I had Brazilian BBQ and felt over-full afterwards. Slept fine that night, but all day yesterday my stomach was uncomfortable and I ate very lightly (rice porridge for breakfast and a light broth for dinner). No pain whatsoever prior to diarrhea. I was awoken by a feeling of wetness in my underwear. Sleeping on my stomach I thought the ceiling was leaking, but found my shorts were soaked in fluid feces. I went to the toilet and had explosive, fluid diarrhea several times, but still no pain or warning prior to each BM. What the hell is wrong with me? Should I be worried?

Sorry to hear about that! Sometimes the body just reacts weird to certain things. I would check in with your doctors though.
