Family: Married to writer Priscilla Turner; daughter Sadie is a junior in high school; son Charlie is entering 9th grade. The cat, Misty, is about 5; and Hank,
the dog, age indeterminate--he was obtained from the pound 3 years ago and
could be anywhere from age 6 to 9.

Harry Stein has been writing and editing since he co-founded The Richmond Mercury in 1972. Since then he has helped mold such publications as Esquire Magazine, Men's Health, and The Paris Metro. He has also written articles for The New York Times Magazine, GQ, Playboy, New York Magazine, American Heritage, Men's Health, The Wall Street Journal, and The New Republic, among others. The author of seven books and six screenplays, Stein has written columns on home life for Esquire and TV Guide. He joins ThirdAge as one of our Family Insiders.
