I am a cancer survivor. But each time I return to the doctor for a check-up, I am filled with dread that my cancer will have returned. How can I get past this anxiety?
I, too, have experienced the fear that cancer can create. Fear is a mighty force that can destroy the very foundation of your soul. When anxiety threatens my well-being, I find that yoga can help.
I sit quietly and I can feel the fear pushing its way from my mind into the veins of my body. I feel it in my gut, my back, and in the tension of my muscles. I breathe deep and begin to let it go. As the fear releases my body relaxes and my mind becomes quiet and still.
