Aptly named, this neurotransmitter is blamed for addictions, but it's also responsible for our experience of beauty, taste, and sexual pleasure. The pharmaceutical industry is expected soon to address male sexual functioning with a dopamine activator, called apomorphine. Unlike Viagra, apomorphine is said to improve libido, whereas Viagra, which works on blood flow to the penis, doesn't work without a suitable stimulus to the libido. Like an eager partner!
