Angelina Jolie and Sarah Jessica Parker have emerged as the biggest earners in a list of the 10 highest paid actresses in Hollywood.
Tinseltown’s top 10 highest-paid female thespians earned a total $218 million between May 2010 and May 2011, according to Forbes.
Tying at the top of our list are Angelina Jolie and Sarah Jessica Parker, who each earned an estimated $30 million.
Jolie has built a reputation for herself as an actress who can swing comfortably from action to drama and even directing itself.
She wrote and directed the upcoming film "In the Land of Blood and Honey," a romance set against the backdrop of the Bosnian War, reports Forbes.
“In The Land of Blood and Honey” trails the Academy Award-winning actress’ two big-budget 2010 action movies, "Salt" and "The Tourist."
The latter, which co-starred Johnny Depp, initially looked like it was going to bomb following poor opening weekend box-office takings of $16 million.
But the film’s earnings were lifted largely due to the interest from the overseas market, with “The Tourist” going on to earn $280 million, solidifying Jolie’s appeal abroad.
Sarah Jessica Parker, on the other hand, still makes most of her money off of "Sex and the City,” reports Forbes.
