Battling Breast Cancer

Eating your veggies could help fight breast cancer. Studies show the plant extract, indole-3-carbinol (or I3C) from Vitamin Research Products may work like the cancer-busting drug Tamoxifen.

I3C is a phytonutrient found in broccoli, cabbage, brussels sprouts and cauliflower. According to the studies conducted, I3C removes estrogen and is an effective weapon against respiratory papillomas and several types of cancer.

The company says I3C outperformed Tamoxifen in a University of California at Berkeley clinical trial. In another study of mice, fewer animals developed cancer while taking the supplement when compared to those not given I3C.
