Arizona Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords is reportedly all set to be with her husband, Mark Kelly, when he launches into space aboard the Endeavour Space Shuttle next week.
The congresswoman is still in recovery after being shot in the head in January.
Mark Kelly spoke with Katie Couric in an interview on CBS Evening News, saying Giffords is ready to move on and get back to work.
"One thing she frequently comes back to is, you know, going back to work. Going back to her office. And - you know, how important it is for her to serve her constituents,” Kelly said.
“She talks about that all the time. Going back to Tucson. I mean, she wants to get back to Tucson. She wants to get back to her district. She wants to get back to Washington."
Kelly’s entire interview with Couric will air on the CBS Evening News Monday night.
