Here's how to re-evaluate your wardrobe and take action to invent a "new you" -- in a reasonable time period. go >

Those small bumps on the backs of your arms and legs are caused when dead skin piles up around a hair follicle. They're especially common when the body is bundled in heavy layers all winter.

  • Exfoliate every time you bathe or shower, with a sponge, loofah, body scrub or buff puff. After showering, apply moisturizer, and the bumps should disappear within two weeks.
More on-the-spot tips:
  • To kill off a spot, apply a dab of calamine lotion, Milk of Magnesia, or honey to the blemish at bedtime, and it will be gone by morning.

  • Or dab some honey on your pimple, cover it with a band-aid, and go to bed. Honey kills bacteria and hastens the healing process.

  • Black tea bags, green tea bags and chamomile tea bags have many uses. Wet tea bags will help take down puffiness under the eyes and soothe bruises and mild burns. Chamomile soothes stressed skin and a compress will reduce irritation. After a bikini wax, for example, soak a cloth in warm chamomile tea and apply to skin for up to 10 minutes.

  • Make your lips look more plump by moistening a piece of cinnamon and rubbing it on your lips before applying lipstick. Alternatively, you can apply a bit of cinnamon oil to your lips, but be careful about how much you use as some people are sensitive to it.

  • You could also try lip plumpers with niacin, a form of vitamin B that improves circulation and pumps up a pout.
Help for headaches:
  • If you suffer from hormonal headaches, sit in a steam room for five minutes and often the headache will go away. Create a steam room at home by turning on the hot water in the shower, leaving the room, and closing the bathroom door for a couple of minutes. Go back in and inhale steam for five minutes.
