Arun Nayar and Elizabeth Hurley have called it quits.
Hurley, the 45-year-old British model and actress, announced the split via Twitter.
"Not a great day. For the record, my husband Arun & I separated a few months ago. Our close family & friends were aware of this," the star tweeted.
Hurley and Nayar, an Indian businessman, first started dating in 2003. They married in 2007 at the Sudeley Castle in western England and then held a traditional Hindu ceremony in India.
People.com claimed that Hurley's tweet was in response to a Britain's News of the World story romantically linking her with cricket player Shane Warne.
Hurley dated fellow British actor Hugh Grant for over a decade. She has a child from a relationship with film producer Steve Bing.
