Ashlee Simpson is staying with older sister Jessica after she announced she will be divorcing from former Fall Out Boy bassist and lyricist Pete Wentz.
According to a source, "Leaving Pete was tough for Ashlee and she needed to be with her family.
"Jessica told her she and Bronx were welcome to stay with them until she was ready to find a place of her own."
In the divorce filing, Simpson cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for their divorce.
Both Simpson and Wentz released a joint statement, saying After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to file for divorce... We remain friends and deeply committed and loving parents to our son Bronx, whose happiness and well-being remains our number one priority. We ask that everyone honor our privacy as we navigate this next phase of our lives."
The two were married for nearly three years.
