Barack Obama and First Lady on Verge of Divorce?

Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle are at odds, unnamed sources revealed. In a story to appear in the Globe tabloid, President Obama took off his wedding ring during an altercation with Michelle over her "lavish spending" and "reluctance to try for a third child." According to the paper, the marriage is now at a crisis point.

"Theres shocking problems in the Obama marriage," said one source."Michelle is breaking her husbands heart by refusing to have another baby."

A recent report claimed that Michelle Obama is planning to spend $2 million in the coming year.

Advisers to the President were concerned recently when they discovered that Michelle was arranging a string of exotic trips for the new year with her girlfriends. She is also said to be sprucing up their living quarters at the White House as well as those back in Chicago, a source said.

"Theyve estimated that all the spending will top more than $2 million. Michelle was behind the redesign of her husbands office, but the last thing he needs is an electorate thinking shes living it up like a lottery winner. Theyll flip if she takes more exotic vacations and they wont care if renovations to the White House living quarters and their house back in Chicago are done by benefactors. It still sends the wrong message."

These same sources report that the bad economy "seems to have no effect on her." It was also noted in the story that Michelle has "had enough" of being Americas First Lady. "Michelle collapsed in tears and even threatened to divorce Barack if he seeks a second term as president," a source told American tabloid the National Enquirer. "At one point, Michelle was heard yelling, 'I hate you for dragging me through all this...Ive had enough!'" While tabloids are not known for their journalistic integrity, society is not as quick to dismiss reports following the John Edwards adultery scandal, which the Enquirer broke. At this time, no comments denying or confirming the incidents have been given by the President and the First Lady.
