Brett Favre Fined $50,000 and Still on Injured List
Brett Favre might be out for the rest of the season following a concussion against Chicago on December 20.
The Vikings quarterback still feels numbness in his hand and pain in his shoulder almost two weeks since the Chicago game.
Favre wants to take the time he has left before retirement to train Joe Webb, the rookie quarterback for the Vikings. Webb was a sixth-round draft pick from Alabama.
The Vikings have been eliminated from the playoffs as it is, and it is unlikely that Favre will play in the last game against the Lions. When asked if he thinks he would be able to play in the last game if he started to feel better, the quarterback said, if its February, I probably wont. We are obviously running out of time."
He says he will stay with the team until the season comes to a close. He appeared at the last game wearing his quarterback jersey in support of his team.
Favre has been in the news for other reasons. The NFL star has been under investigation for sending a former Jets hostess, Jenn Sterger, inappropriate and lewd photos through cell phone messaging. She also reported that she received strange messages from Favre, or at least someone trying very hard to impersonate the quarterback.
The NFL has decided to fine Brett Favre $50,000 for the failure to cooperate in the investigation.
