Carrie Fisher Talks Weight Loss, Metal Bikinis

Carrie Fisher is ready for the spotlight again after dropping 50 pounds in the past nine months.

The notoriously self-deprecating author-actress and Jenny Craig spokesperson, 54, detailed her weight loss on Wednesday's Today show, embracing host Ann Curry, who described Fisher as "beautiful."

When asked where the rest of her was, Fisher jokingly responded, "If knew I don't want to know, because then I'd have to go get it."

Prior to her weight loss, she said "I couldn't leave the house [to go shopping], because they didn't have sizes [large enough]. I exhausted the alphabet on bra sizes." Fisher also admitted to avoiding looking at herself in the mirror during this time.

She now talks about being able to wear clothes that weren't available as options to her anymore, though she noted that she won't be wearing any sleeveless ensembles any time soon.

Of her Jenny Craig weight-loss plan, Fisher said she loves the cereal, because "it tastes like contraband," which appeals to her. She also credited her consultant, whose presence allowed gave her someone "to complain to, stamp my fat foot and I say I didn't want to do it."

Fisher joked about the iconic metal bikini she wore for Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. "I want to get into the metal bikini and just walk around the house like an idiot," she chuckled. "Answer the doorbell: 'What is it? This old thing?' … I'll come out with a line of metal bikinis for women over 40. If you want dignity, you wear metal bikinis over [age] 40."
