Charlie Sheen Roast Teaser Emerges

Charlie Sheen will star in Anger Management on FX next summer.

A Charlie Sheen roast teaser has been released to prepare for the September 19 “comedy intervention” for the embattled actor. According to Entertainment Weekly, the 15 second video features Sheen straddling an atomic bomb, a la Slim Pickens in “Dr. Strangelove.”

The Comedy Central roast will feature “Family Guy” creator Seth MacFarlane as host of the evening’s events. McFarlane gave prospective audiences a taste of what the night will feature in his acceptance of the gig.

“I’m very excited to work with Comedy Central again on the roast,” he said. “Charlie is a true icon with a talent that is strong and pure and concentrated into small crystals which can be smoked or eaten.”

ScreenCrave reports that Jeffery Ross is also likely to be present at the roast. He described to Entertainment Weekly that the roast will function as a “comedy intervention.”

“These roasts are often therapeutic for a person,” Ross said. “These are things he needs to hear. No one deserves to be roasted more than the warlock. I see this as a comedy intervention. This is the first step of what you could call a comeback.”

Ross added that the lineup will feature roasters who will perform the best, not necessarily those who have the biggest names. He told reporters that there has been “very surprising people” from Sheen’s past who have expressed interest in appearing at the event.
