Chelsea Clinton's Father In-Law To Be is a Happy Man

Chelsea Clinton's father in law is quite the happy man. Former Iowa Congressman Ed Mezvinsky says he couldn't be happier his son, Marc, is to marry Chelsea Clinton this weekend.

"I'm a proud papa . The family's excited," Mezvinsky told TV's "Inside Edition." "These are two wonderful human beings that have sensitivity about life and have a warm regard for family and that's what it's really all about . The guidelines are we don't talk about the wedding, we just enjoy each other."

Mezvinsky, a Democrat who served two terms in the House in the 1970s, was convicted of bank, wire and mail fraud in 2003 and sentenced to seven years in prison. He was released in April 2008 and told "Inside Edition" he has since rebuilt his relationship with his son and Clinton, the daughter of former President Bill Clinton and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

"It's a rather special occasion and I'm grateful I can be a part of it," he said. "I'm remorseful for what happened; it was a terrible time and I was punished for that. And I respect that and accept responsibility for what happened, and now I'm trying to move on and am grateful I have the opportunity for that."
