Chelsea Handler to Reunite Kanye West & Taylor Swift at 2010 VMAs

Chelsea Handler, comedian and talk-show host, has signed on to preside over the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles, the network said on its Web site. The event is to take place Sept. 12 at the Nokia Theatre. "Everyone knows that when you think of rap music and hip-hop you think of 'Chelsea Lately.' And that's why I will be hosting (the show,)" Handler remarked on her late-night talk show "Chelsea Lately" when making the announcement.

Last Thursday, Chelsea Handler appeared on Ryan Seacrest's radio show and said she's looking to bring Kanye West and Taylor Swift together when she hosts the MTV Video Music Awards on Sept. 12, a year after West infamously interrupted Swift's acceptance speech at the event.

"I'd like to get them together," Handler told Seacrest. "We've never really seen them together since then. They were supposed to be together on SNL, but then that didn't end up happening. We'll try to think of something clever to do with them, because that would be really fun."
