Christmas Forecast: White Christmas Forecast Probability is High

Christmas forecasts are in hot demand as Americans count down the days until Saturday rolls around... And as many children have hoped, a white Christmas is in the cards for many. Weather forecasts vary, but whether it will be new snow or already accumulated, fallen snow on the ground - about one third of the country has a good chance for snow on Christmas morning.

Here is a map from Weather.com that shows the probability of a white Christmas...

FromWeather.com:This map shows the percent probability that any given locale will experience a White Christmas, defined as at least one inch of snow, new or existing, being on the ground on Christmas morning. Until a week or so before Christmas, we will display this as an historical probability, based on long-term climatology. During the final days leading up to December 25, we will provide an actual White Christmas probability forecast specifically for this year.
