Clint Eastwood Says Super Bowl Ad Wasn't Supporting Obama

Clint Eastwood says his highly-rated Chrysler Super Bowl ad that claimed it was “half-time in America” was not supporting President Obama’s policies. Some thought the ad was political and supported the White House’s decision to bail out certain car makers with tax payer’s money. Eastwood said that was not his intention.

“I am certainly not politically affiliated with Mr. Obama," Eastwood, 81, told Fox News Channel. "I am not supporting any politician at this time."  He noted, "...There is no spin in that ad. On this I am certain…It was meant to be a message about job growth and the spirit of America. I think all politicians will agree with it... If Obama or any other politician wants to run with the spirit of that ad go for it.”

Eastwood added he gave the money that he received from appearing in the ad to charity.
