Dancing With The Stars: Carson Kressley Eliminated

The fifth week of “Dancing With The Stars” closed  Tuesday, and another contender is on their way home. This time, it was former “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” guru Carson Kressley.

According to Access Hollywood, Kressley and his professional partner Anna Trebunskaya received another low score for their ‘80s themed cheerleader jive to “Wake Me Up Before you Go-Go.” It was enough to send the fashion designer packing.

Kressley remained positive, however, taking the time to reflect on his tenure on the program with praise.

“This has been pure joy for me and I hope I could make people smile and laugh and have a great time,” he said after hearing about his elimination. “It was great being here.”

This was the second week in a row that Kressley placed at the bottom of the leader board, Access Hollywood said. Though he was never considered a top contender, Kressley was a crowd favorite, bringing positivity, style and comedy to the dance floor.

Tuesday’s elimination show boasted original “American Idol” winner Kelly Clarkson, who expressed admiration for the Tristan MacManus and Kym Johnson routine to her new song, “Mr. Know It All.”

“If I could dance like that, I would be on the show, but I can’t,” Clarkson said.

Co-host Tom Bergeron suggested, “We could teach you,” but the singer quickly shot him down, telling him, “It would be a comedy.”

“Dancing With The Stars” returns to ABC Monday night for Broadway week.
