Troubled star Demi Moore has a supporter in her friend Kirstie Alley. According to Entertainment Wise, Alley told People Magazine she has “no doubts” that Moore will emerge from her struggles and make a comeback.

“Demi is a smart, insightful girl and she will work through it,” Alley, 61, said. “I have no doubts. I love Demi. She’ll work it out.”

The statement of support comes after the 49-year-old Moore was hospitalized last Monday after a bout of what her representatives called exhaustion. A leaked 911 phone call suggests that Moore may have “smoked something” beforehand, however.

The actress also had to pull out of her role in the upcoming movie “Lovelace,” with rumors confirmed over the weekend that she will be replaced by Sarah Jessica Parker. A Twitter death hoax is also following Moore, with “RIP Demi Moore” becoming a trending topic on the popular site.

Despite these troubles, however, Moore’s friends have stood by her and expressed their confidence in her recovery. Joining Alley in her support, director Patty Jenkins told E! Online that Moore was already doing “much better” than media reports have made it seem.

“I just saw her and she’s doing great,” Jenkins said. “Much better than it’s made out to be. Demi is awesome and so strong. She’s great.”
