Denise Richards: Adoption of Girl Had Been Planned For Years

Denise Richards’ recently publicized adoption of her baby girl had been planned for a number of years, according to a friend of the actress.

Reportedly, Richards chose to keep the adoption of her third daughter “extremely quiet,” adding that the process “has obviously been going on for quite some time,” Popeater.com reports.

Ms Richards discussed adoption with her mother, before she passed away following a long battle with cancer in 2007.

“She wanted to wait to start the process until things were calm with her custody of her two daughters she has with Charlie, (Sam, 7, and Lola, 6) and mourning her mom,” the friend said.

When Richards finally adopted her baby girl, she honored her mother’s memory by using Jonie as the baby’s middle name. Sam and Lola chose the baby’s first name, Eloise.

“At some point, they wanted to leave the house!” the source says, adding, “The whole family is thrilled. Denise is a fabulous mother and the girls are great big sisters.”

The friend continued, “She’s got the biggest heart in the world and plenty of love to share.  She learned from her own mom how to be such great parent,” Popeater.com reports.

“Sam and Lola are the best big sisters in the world, so Eloise is one lucky little lady,” the friend added.

In addition to newest arrival Eloise Jonie, the 40-year-old actress already had two daughters, Sam, 7, and Lola, 6, with ex-husband Charlie Sheen.
