A video also circulated online showed Galliano, in a different incident, drunkenly telling a cafe patron, "I love Hitler."
Galliano was arrested after the couple complained to police he shouted anti-Semitic comments to them in a Paris bar.
A statement released by Dior says:
Following the allegations of anti-Semitic statements that resulted in John Galliano being questioned by police on Thursday, February 24, Christian Dior immediately suspended its relationship with its designer, pending the outcome of the police investigation. Today, because of the particularly odious nature of the behavior and words of John Galliano in a video made public this Monday, the Christian Dior house has decided to lay him off immediately and has begun firing procedures against him."
Dior is scheduled to present its fall-winter 2011-2012 ready-to-wear show soon as part of Paris Fashion Week.
