Dita Von Teese Launches Lingerie Collection

Dita Von Teese will debut her own lingerie line next year, inspired by her vintage style, OnTheRedCarpet.com reports.

The original collection, titled “Von Follies,” will feature 1950s fashion high-waisted briefs, garter belts, and corsets. The line is meant to capture “sophistication and sensuality with distinct touches such as grosgrain and velvet ribbons, delicate eyelash lace, and control mesh to give the essence of the sultry 1950's glamour girl,” according to a statement.

Von Teese described the personal inspirations of the collection saying "I wanted to design pieces that are tributes to my vintage obsessions, to make them beautiful and functional, while modernizing them for everyday wear," OnTheRedCarpet reports.

The 39-year-old burlesque icon also noted how important it was to offer a full size range for the collection, in order to “accomplish the task of making these beautiful things in sizes that can make any woman feel sexy and glamorous,” she said.

The new line will retail between $17 and $79 at will be first sold at Target department stores in Australia from February 2012. Von Teese also recently tweeted that the collection is expected to debut in the UK as well as other parts of the world sometime next year too.
