Donald Trump has launched a blistering attack on Scotland's First Minister Alex Salmond over plans to build a wind farm off the coast of his luxury Scottish golf resort.
In an open letter, the New York real estate tycoon calls the wind farm "horrendous" and says Salmond is "hell bent on destroying Scotland's coast line and therefore Scotland itself."
Niall Stuart, chief executive of Scottish Renewables, which represents the wind farm industry, reacted with anger Friday to Trump's intervention, asking "Who is Donald Trump to tell Scotland what is good for our economy or environment?"
Salmond is refusing to comment on the spat with Trump, which comes just four years after the businessman heaped praise on him for supporting his golf resort despite local objections.
