What is the Drew Carey weight loss program? His recent regimen has helped the actor lose 70 pounds, UsMagazine.com reported Thursday.
"I just got sick of being fat," the 52-year-old U.S. comedian and game-show host said at the 2010 CBS Summer Press Tour Party in Beverly Hills, Calif.
"No carbs," he said. "I have cheated a couple times, but basically no carbs, not even a cracker. No bread at all. No pizza, nothing. No corn, no beans, no starches of any kind. Egg whites in the morning or like, Greek yogurt, cut some fruit."
He credited a cardio program for his new figure.
"There's nobody really standing over me. I do work with somebody who gives me advice on what to do, how many minutes to run, what my heart rate should be and all that kind of stuff," said Carey, current host of the game show "The Price is Right."
Drew Carey also said he drinks nothing but water and does lots of cardio. He used to have type II diabetes but no longer.
"I'm not diabetic anymore. No medication needed," he said. Another benefit: "I like being skinny. I was sick of being fat on the camera. Really, I just got sick of it."
UsMagazine.com did not say how much Carey weighed before he shed the 70 pounds.
