Dustin Hoffman Back as a Focker

Dustin Hoffman will return as Bernie Focker in the third film of the Meet the Fockers franchise.

According to Deadline Hollywood as reported by BBC News, director Jay Roach convinced the 73-year-old star to reconsider taking part in the movie after he was written out of Little Fockers as a result of movie bosses failing to reach a deal with him.

Now he is written back in the movie and will join Ben Stiller on the screen, who, in the movie, is coping with parenthood, BBC reported.

A series of re-shoots will take place next month, while the film is due to be released in December.

Based on BBC reports, the first two films in the franchise, Meet the Parents and Meet the Fockers, took in more than $445 million at the U.S. box office.
