Eminem Continues to Dominate Billboard Album Chart

Eminem continues to dominate the music industry as he owns the top spot on Billboard's Top 200 Albums for the fifth straight week. Eminem's most recent album release, title "Recovery" featured its first single, "I'm Not Afraid" in early June, 2010. Since the release, tracks off the record including a collaboration with Alicia Keys.

The album was on released June 18, 2010 by Aftermath Entertainment and Shady Records. Production for the album took place during 2009 to 2010 at several recording studios and was handled by several record producers, including Alex da Kid, Just Blaze, Boi-1da, Jim Jonsin, DJ Khalil, and Dr. Dre. The album debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 chart, with first-week sales of 741,000 copies. It became Eminem's sixth album to debut at number one in the United States. It remained at number one in its second week of release, selling another 313,000 copies for a total of 1.1 million copies in the US.

Recovery sold 229,000 units in the US in its third week. It also entered at number one on Billboard's R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and Rap Albums chart. The album is the fifth best selling album of 2010 as of July 15. As of now, the album has sold 1.67 million albums in the USA alone.
