George Lopez's late-night talk show, "Lopez Tonight," will not return for a third season,TBS announced Wednesday.
Lopez, 50, began hosting the show in 2009. In 2010, "Lopez Tonight" was bumped an hour later when Conan O'Brien began hosting "Conan" on the same network. Of the change, Lopez said, "I’m in the George Lopez business. I believe that Conan O’Brien coming to TBS is good for my business."
The final episode of the show will air Thursday. In a statement, TBS wrote "TBS has reached the difficult decision not to order a third season of Lopez Tonight...TBS has valued its partnership with George and appreciates all of his work on behalf of the network, both on and off the air."
Lopez's sitcom, "George Lopez," ran for five years before going off the air in 2007.
