Goo Goo Dolls Release New Album Today, 1st Since 2006

Goo Goo Dolls fans have a reason to rejoice as the 24-year-old band released their new studio album today. Titled Something for the Rest of Us, the album features collaborations with the producer of U2 and Nirvana. This marks the bands first album since 2006, following Let Love In.According to ContactMusic.com, as reported by SoundSpike, the inspiration for the bands new album comes from people, humanity.The things I wanted to address were the emotional impact of the uncertain times that we live in more on a personal level than making some grand political or social statement, frontman Johnny Rzeznik said. The best way I can put it is: Its about people who are trying to hang on to their humanity during a time when its getting harder and harder to stay human.Goo Goo Dolls hits over the years since their inception include Iris, Here is Gone, and Give a Little Bit. The band has been nominated for four Grammys.
