Gun N Roses fansget back in the ring!
Or so they say, as media outlets throughout the web are foreseeing a forthcoming GNR album of new material that wont be delayed like Chinese Democracy was.
Unfortunately, however, the reasoning is based on comments by recently added guitarist, DJ Ashaba, who had the following to say to rockitoublog.com:
We're talking about that right now. We've been throwing around a bunch of ideas and it should be good. We've got a lot of good stuff on the plate coming out. It won't take as long - I promise.
I'm excited to get this next one rolling. Axl has a lot of good stuff up his sleeves, so I'm really excited about it.
And I say unfortunately, because as all long time Guns N Roses fans know, Ashbas words must be taken with a worthless grain of salt, as the legendary front man has never been known to come through with his promises, neither to his band mates, nor to his adoring fan base.
So we can excuse Ashba for his nave optimism, after all, hes a new addition and most likely isnt well acquainted with hermit Roses infamous capricious and fantastical tendencies.
Ex-Gunsman Slash said it best when he told a reporter why Chinese Democracy had yet to come out after 14 years of meticulous production.
[Chinese Democracy will] get done, and it'll come out when he feels comfortable with putting it out. And Axl works in a different time zoneSo what may seem like a long time to other people is a tick of the clock to him. It'll come out though. It will.
But like all loyaland admittedly frequently disheartenedGuns N Roses fans, Im saying that even if Axl implements his microperforation-grating perfectionism towards the new album, even if his new music takes 14 more years, or however much longer, Im willing to wait.
