Jennifer Aniston is reportedly taking a gamble with her next film 'Wanderlust'. In that movie she will reportedly appear topless and in a steamy lesbian sex scene with 2 other women, one of whom is pregnant.
So why would Aniston take on a role like this? Reports are that she has been disappointed with the performance of her last 2 movies, and she feels she needs to do something to jump start her movie career.
Many of her friends are afraid this role in the movie could have a detrimental affect on her career though. Aniston is known for doing fun romantic comedies, and switching to a role where she appears nude and in lesbian sex scenes may lessen her appeal to many of her mainstream fans.
Those closest to her told the National Enquirer:
"It's a huge risk, Jen thought long and hard about doing this stuff, but seeing her last few movies tank really convinced her she should take a gamble. Lord knows Jennifer still has the body to pull off showing skin in a film, but theres a big chance it could backfire on her. Shes known for doing sweet comedies."
"Its not the stuff youd expect from sweet, lovable Jen. But youve got to admire her for having the nerve to really step out of her comfort zone."
The movie, Wanderlust, will also star Paul Rudd and is due out in theaters in 2011.
