Jennifer Love Hewitt has been slated to executive produce and star in a new upcoming original series from Lifetime, called The Client List.

The Client List will premiere with 10 one-hour episodes in 2012, according to Nancy Dubuc, president and general manager of Lifetime Networks, who announced the deal Wednesday.

The network also released details about a development deal for series and movies released in conjunction with Hewitt's production company Fedora Films -- the deal includes Hewitt directing a movie for the network in the future.   The Client List, based on a 2010 movie of the same names, will focus on Hewitt in the role of a Texas housewife whose husband leaves her. Following the separation, she takes a job in day spa, and is soon a full partner in the parlor's hidden "business." Dannielle THomas, Howard Braunstein, Michael Jaffe, AJ Rinella, and Jordan Budde will serve as executive producers alongside Hewitt -- Fedora Films will produce.    "Beloved by viewers, Jennifer Love Hewitt is an amazing talent on and off the screen and we are very excited about continuing our relationship with her on The Client List," Dubuc said in the network's official announcement. "This project falls in line with our strategy to expand Lifetime's slate with unapologetic programming that will surprise audiences."
