Kate Gosselin Talks About Kids' Expulsion: "The Pressure Was Getting to Them"

Kate Gosselin of "Kate Plus 8" blames her children's expulsion from private school on pressure from the reality show and issues with their parents' divorce.

Collin and Alexis, both 6, were asked to leave school this month and are now being homeschooled. Although celebrity news sources blamed the expulsion on bad behavior, a source close to Kate told People that the situation was "grossly overstated."

"The pressure was getting to them. You have the divorce anger mixed in with that," Gosselin told CNN.

Gosselin says her eight children will spend part of the holidays with her and part with their father, Jon.

"We have been able to work out the holiday time peacefully," she said. "So I will have the first half, he will have the second half, and, we just take it year by year, and holiday by holiday."

"Jon & Kate Plus 8," a TLC series about the couple's lives raising sextuplets and twins, first aired in April 2007.

Last year, Jon and Kate announced their plans to divorce. The show was rebranded "Kate Plus 8."
